   Where ever you are on your path towards a healthier lifestyle, there is always room for improvement. Fortunately, the quest for good health is a self-perpetuating journey. You learn more, you make improvements, you feel better, you can do more, you go on to the next level.

   If you have been exercising on a regular basis, but no longer seeing improvement, you must challenge your body to get to the next level. You must change your program. Solanco SuperFit teaches people how to continuously challenge their bodies with improvements on a nutrition-based diet and exciting and safe exercise programs.

   Personal training and small group classes focus on boot-camp circuits mixed with kettlebell circuits. Indoor and outdoor cardio intervals such as walking, jogging, and biking are incorporated and varied seasonally. Periodically, special events are scheduled to keep clients motivated in their training and to get them to try new things. Outings to indoor rock climbing gyms, roller skating rinks, mountain biking and hiking trails, and kayaking trips have been fun and exciting for clients and their families.

   Successful progression in fitness and good health requires constant focus and commitment. As your life evolves and changes over time, you must find a way to keep it active and always have fresh and healthy food to eat. You must make this lifestyle a priority for the entire family.

Seminars for Schools and Corporate Organizations

   Carolyn D Larocque is a certified Women's Self Defense Instructor for Defend University of NY. She provides small and large group seminars in the Nationally recognized Fight Like A Girl program.

   The women's self defense program is taught in small group classes and workshops, as well as in larger group seminars. It requires no previous experience in martial arts or self defense. The program was developed to teach women how to deal with the most common sexual assault scenarios. The techniques are rooted in a martial art called Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is extremely well-suited for use by women and children because it allows a smaller person to defend themselves against a larger and stronger attacker.

 

Community Support and Fundraisers

   Introductory seminars are offered to schools and organizations at extremely low rates in order to bring awareness of women's safety issues to the community. All proceeds generated from such events are donated to a local women's shelter in the name of the school or organization sponsoring it.

   These seminars are also a great way to raise money in a fundraising event. In addition to teaching and demonstrating the techniques, there are fun conditioning drills and games that can be included, T-shirts with the Fight Like A Girl logo to be sold, handout materials provided for free, and wonderful photo opportunities.

   Many people do not know the facts and statistics concerning attacks on women, although we see it in the news every day. The numbers are quite alarming. Help bring awareness to your community and help train women to protect themselves.
